Just WHO are you?
Full Name: Samantha Cleopatra Chiba.
Nickname(s): Sam; call her Cleo, and you die.
Senshi Title: Super Sailor Earth.
Princess Name:Princess Rhea of Earth.
Age: Nineteen, soon to be twenty.
Birthday: August 12th.
Orientation: Lesbian.
Why do you look so FAMILIAR?
Hair Color: Auburn, though this is completely relative. Depending on the light, Sam's hair can be a blood color, a dark red, or even maroon at times. Sometimes, this even depends on her mood.
Hairstyle: Being a tomboy, Sam would like to wear her hair short. However, she never has cut it, unless she needed a trim; she (secretly) likes her hair too much to cut it, though she does keep it from getting too long.
Eye Color: In a word, blue-green. They tend to shimmer teal, or even aquamarine, depending on her mood - and sometimes, they match her onee-sama's for emerald intensity.
Body Type: Being a martial-artist, Sam is quite athletic. She is also tall and skinny, which makes her body wiry and almost lithe. Of course, there are times when her bones can be seen, but she thinks nothing of this.
Height: Five feet nine inches.
Skin Tone Though tanned while she lived in America, Sam's skin has become paler once more, now that she's back in Japan.
Nationality: Japanese, though technically American as well.
Clothing Style: Mostly boyish, she usually wears loose tops with well-fitted long-sleeved shirts underneath, form-fitting jeans, and tennis shoes. Sometimes she'll wear a dress shirt and jeans. Sometimes she'll wear a Chinese-style outfit (often a cheongsam, but it will vary at times). And occasionally, while she was still in school, she would wear her school uniform outside of school. (Said uniform was different from the Inners because she attended a school much like Mugen Gakuen (aka a genius school) in America, and the Juuban High uniform didn't fit her.). Of course, half the time, she'll be in her karate gi.
Noteworthy Features: Listed, they are her eyes, her slightly soft, refined features, and the fact that her hands are very bony. Her eyes are captivating, but guarded; many she's met wish to know what her eyes hide. Her features have often been compared to those of the Sea Senshi; both possess a refined, serene quality to their facial features. Her hands are bony, yes, but never make her mad, or you'll find out that she packs a mean right hook.
Anime Play By: Kurama from Yu Yu Hakuso.
Character Type: Original.

Personality: Sam tends to be rather shy at first, but will open up once she gets to know a person. She has few friends, as she tends to be quite forthright with her words; brusquely blunt, even. Should the time call for it, however, she can be serious as the rest of them, and takes it upon herself to protect her friends, often though they don't need it, and sometimes at the risk of her own life. She likes her control, and will often be short with people if she feels she's losing that control.
And WHY are you here?

Henshin Phrase: Earth Crystal Power, Make UP!

Other: Her choker is brown with a golden star piece at the center-front; the broach at her center of her front bow is a gold heart.
Where did you COME FROM?
Parents: She doesn't remember.
Siblings: Mamoru Chiba, elder brother - not that she remembers that, of course.
Other People of Interest: Haruka Tenou - her onee-sama.
History: Sam was a lively, inquisitive child growing up. On the night of the accident, she had been staying at a friend's, and so she had been spared the trauma of the crash. However, that didn't mean she had life any easier than her elder brother. When everything was said and done, the doctors felt it best to separate the two siblings, as they would never really know one another - the elder could hardly remember his own name, let alone his sister, and the younger was barely six at the time, so she wouldn't really remember anything anyways. Sam was then placed into foster care, and her life truly began.
About two months later, she met the one friend who would stick to her like glue for the rest of her life, or at least for most of it. This girl was a nine-year-old Haruka. Despite the almost three year age difference, the two got on well, and Sam was glad that Haruka even tolerated her, as she had seen how the blonde was with other girls. She would always tag along when Haruka played with the boys, if for the simple fact that she had nothing else to do. Case in point, her foster parents were almost never home, and she had no foster siblings, so she had attached herself to the elder girl.
Regardless of the fact that where they lived was nearly a slum, and the blonde's own troubling home life, they got on well. Sam thinks that Haruka helped her keep sane when she was younger, though she hasn't quite admitted it aloud yet. This was the main reason why, when the blonde ran off about four years later, Sam followed her. Of course, despite the fact that they were now in Kyoto rather than Osaka, Sam was found and placed with another foster family. She thanked God that it was in a place just close enough to where the blonde found herself that they could still keep some form of contact.
Sam never knew about the things Haruka did when they weren't together, and so felt it wasn't her place to ask. (She knew all about Akimi, but it wasn't her place to interfere, so she said nothing.) She attended her first two years of middle school as normal, but things all changed quickly. Haruka met Michiru at that time, and in less than three months, they had both slipped away from Kyoto. The redhead would never forget the fight she had had with her best friend and onee-sama - nor would she ever forget how Haruka had nearly killed her. Just after that, Sam's current set of foster parents, (this was set number three in Kyoto) an American couple, informed her that they would be moving back to the States, and that she would be coming with them. Sam never knew any other time in her life when the world she knew had turned upside-down so fast.
She finished middle school in America, and attended her first two years of high school there was well. It was around her final year of middle school, when she was awakened as a Senshi. Along with her heinshin rod and powers, she not only received her memories from the Silver Millennium, but also from her childhood before the accident; few and vague though they were. She resolved to find her brother when she returned to Japan, and to see if he remembered her at all. Sam hoped he did, but knew that she couldn't push her luck. She defended America from the monsters which threatened to take it over, noting that this was merely a branch of the Dark Kingdom, as there had been one in England, while the main body existed in Japan.
This was about the time when she took up martial-arts, and when her negative body image was begun to be drilled into her mind. In the beginning, she merely watched what she ate, worked harder on karate and in P.E., but eventually, she spiraled downwards faster than she could blink, and her mind was telling her she needed this. By the time she and her foster parents moved back to Japan at the end of her sophomore year, she was in the middle stages of an eating disorder. It wasn't serious yet, but it could very easily become so. She kept her secret safe, and so no-one suspected. Not that her foster parents really seemed to care anyway, and this was rather normal for teenage girls in the States, it seemed.
A few months after she and her foster parents returned from America, Sam rejoined with Haruka and Michiru, getting to know Hotaru and Setsuna as well. Sam wanted to help with the battle against Galaxia, but Haruka forbid her from doing so; as the blonde was tied up with fighting to become her legal guardian, Sam supposed this was the least she could do in thanks. Just before the final battle against Chaos was waged, Haruka had been officially named Sam's legal guardian until she came of age, (which was twenty) or until she decided to seek complete emancipation. Again, though she wished to help, Sam was forbidden from joining the fight, and found herself forced to wait until everything was said and done.
Now, as everything is over, Haruka has begun to train her to use her Senshi powers, and Sam has just recently gained her Super form. She wants to look for her brother, but knows that she needs to become strong first. Sam vowed to herself long ago that no-one would need to see her as a weak girl, nor a burden ever again. So, she will make herself strong, so that her brother will know she can stand on her own two feet. Also, though she knows it's rather unrealistic, she hopes to regain her title as Princess of Earth when Crystal Tokyo comes into being.
With the new war on the horizon, Sam knows she will need to fight this time - and she will protect her friends and family with her life if need be.
